Dr Fikiswa Nomnqa is an Ophthalmologist with a passion for eye health. She acquired her medical degree from Walter Sisulu University(WSU) where her interest in this field was ignited. Her career in Ophthalmology started at Leratong hospital in 2010 where she worked as a medical officer before starting her specialist training in 2015.

Dr Fikiswa qualified as an eye specialist from the Fellowship College of Ophthalmologists South Africa (FC Ophth)(SA) in 2018. She also holds a Masters in Medicine from the University of the Witwatersrand(Wits).

She is a consultant at St John Eye Hospital in Soweto where she is part of the oculoplastics and glaucoma team. Her areas of interest include cataract surgery, glaucoma, oculoplastics and orbital surgery.
